I photographed the Daisy and I decided to darken the background by lowering the ISO on my camera with the original photograph. Then I went into Photoshop and dodged the background and brought the white of the Daisy back up. I think it worked out OK as I like the final image.
Just go outside and you might be surprised on what you would have just missed seeing.
Really like your photograph and editing the photograph with a black background really gives it the ability to look directly at the flower with no distractions.
I'll try all sorts of types of photography... might not be great at all attempts, but at least I tried.
