Obviously, you don’t want a person in many of your landscape photographs, but in this case, my photograph of my wife was just as important as the landscape around her. By including both, I was able to capture that moment of the beautiful dunes and also my wife hiking down to the beach to also photograph the beach.
By having a person in a photograph, it gives a dimension of how large the landscape is. Just seeing the sand dunes without a person in the photograph, the size of the sand dunes could be lost.

Nice idea to include a person in the photograph if the person is important to the photograph. I agree with your perspective of dimension with the person as a known height. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known how high the dunes were in your photograph. A bit too much vibrant color to the photo for me, though.
In my next life, I am going to come back as a real photographer.
