A youngster found a nice soft spot to relax. Many times during a hike, you can see where an animal made a bed area for the night as there is an indentation in the soft pine needles. All you can do is visualize which animal it was, but in this case I know what the animal was. :D
The deer seems to sense that you are photographing it? :?: Not sure how far away you were from the deer? :?:
With a stare like that, I definitely don’t want to get any closer than this. Fortunately it’s a long zoom lens and I’m not that close to the ram. He definitely has a nice set of horns for sure and he looks quite healthy! :#critique:
It’s always amazing when you have to opportunity to come across a herd of Big Horned Sheep at an elevation of 12,000+ feet. Sometimes you just are lucky when it comes to photography to be at the right place at the right time! :)
This was the first and only time I ever saw a Bobcat and I wasn’t going to miss this opportunity of photographing it. The lighting wasn’t coming from the right direction, but I did my best. It was an exciting moment for sure!
